The Wyaralong Interconnector Pipeline (WIP) is a major bulk water infrastructure project supporting the development of the new Wyaralong Water Treatment Plant and strengthening regional water supply connectivity across South East Queensland.
The project includes approximately 14km of new pipeline connecting the Wyaralong Water Treatment Plant to the Southern Regional Water Pipeline, forming a critical link in Seqwater’s long-term water security strategy.
The project involved the design and construction of trenchless pipeline crossings at four key locations along the Teviot Road corridor, incorporating advanced microtunnelling and underboring techniques.
Key elements of the scope included:
Civil Project Partners provided detailed cost estimating and commercial support during the ECI and tender phase.
This included the development of cost estimates for trenchless construction methodologies, incorporating specialist plant, shaft interfaces, and pipeline installation works. CPP also supported methodology reviews, staging strategies, and risk identification associated with geotechnical conditions, access constraints, and environmental compliance.
