The Coomera Connector Stage 1, often referred to as Queensland’s “Second M1,” is a significant infrastructure project aimed at enhancing transportation between Coomera and Nerang on the Gold Coast. Spanning approximately 16 kilometers, this new motorway is designed to alleviate congestion on the existing Pacific Motorway (M1) by providing an alternative north-south route.
An 8-kilometre duplication of the M1 as part of the Coomera Connector project, extending between Helensvale Road and the Smith Street Motorway.
Civil Project Partners (CPP) were engaged by the C2C consortium, led by major contractor CPB Contractors. CPP was embedded within the Design and Construction (D&C) team and provided tender planning services, including the development of a fully resourced D&C program. 4D Synchro planning was applied to selected staging elements to support visual sequencing and construction planning.
