13B Landsborough Highway (Augathella – Tambo)

This project is part of the South West Transport Network Reconstruction Program and upgrades to Landsborough Highway. The section 13B runs Augathella to Tambo, with the project including widening of the pavement and overlay along the Landsborough Highway, as well as further upgrades to the rest area and improvements to the intersection. Scope

This project is part of the South West Transport Network Reconstruction Program. The sites are located along the Landsborough Highway between Tambo and Augethella, in the local government area of Murweh Shire Council. The project included:
  • Pavement widening and strengthening on 13A (CH 0 – 88.88) and 13B (CH 0 – 57.09) to improve narrow, failing and deteriorating pavements, improve safety and resilience.
  • Heavy vehicle rest areas and stopping places along 13A (CH 0 – 88.88) and 13B (CH 0 – 57.09) upgrade of intersection at 18 F, 18G and 13A the Augathella Intersection.

Service Provided

Civil Project Partners delivered a Business Case Cost Estimate Report including:
  • Cost estimating
  • Construction programming; and
  • Risk analysis
The project located in remote Western Queensland, so Civil Project Partners sought the closest TMR approved quarry and concrete plants, to provide realistic costs and construction programming for project completion.
