The Role: Building the Future

As a vital member of our team, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping the future of civil construction. Your role will be to support our estimating and construction methodology functions, leveraging your expertise to craft cutting-edge construction programs. Armed with our advanced programming tool, P6, and guided by your experience in construction methodology, you’ll transform technical documents into concrete plans for success. This is a full-time opportunity to make your mark on the industry.

Your Skills & Background: Unleash Your Potential

Do you have what it takes to excel in this role? We’re looking for professionals who bring more than just a resume to the table. If you have:

  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience in civil, roads, and rail.
  • A deep understanding of TMR (Transport and Main Roads) projects, preferably with knowledge of TMR items and specifications.
  • Exceptional time management skills to keep projects on track.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Prior experience in construction tendering and contractor partnerships.
  • A knack for working with standard industry productivities and the ability to calculate productivities from driving tasks.
  • Qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and spoken in English.
  • A proven track record in utilizing industry tools of the trade.

 Your Tasks/Responsibilities: Shaping Success

In this role, you’ll be a catalyst for progress. Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing technical information to develop comprehensive work breakdown structures and activities, aligning them with the level of detail provided.
  • Investigating traffic staging requirements, ensuring compliance with technical specifications (including TMR’s MRTS02, for example).
  • Conducting precise calculations of quantities to support program durations.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in resource allocation using P6.
  • Collaborating closely with estimators to fine-tune project outputs, including the duration of each construction stage and discipline durations.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance project outcomes.

  • Oracle P6
  • Microsoft Project (experience desirable)
